University of Genoa

The Department of Civil, Chemical and Environmental Engineering – DICCA of the University of Genoa (UniGe) is the project Leader.

The University of Genoa, founded in 1481, is one of the most valuable cultural and scientific heritage sites in the Mediterranean and in the north-western Italian area to which it is deeply interconnected, carrying out its teaching, research and technological transfer thanks to the activities of 5 schools and 22 departments, where over thirty-two thousand students carry out their study programme.

The Department of Civil, Chemical and Environmental Engineering was founded in 2012 within the Polytechnic School by the merger of two independent departments to promote advanced research projects and scientific research covering both traditional and innovative sectors of process engineering , civil and industrial, with particular interest in the interaction between technology and the environment for the promotion of safe and sustainable ecological and human development.

 


 

University of Messina

The University of Messina, founded in 1548, today offers a wide educational offering, with numerous three-year and specialist degree courses.

The university is included in many international programs, of which it is often also a promoter. In support of research, numerous agreements have been stipulated with universities around the world and, in fact, the University of Messina promotes, maintains and develops intense collaborative relationships with a large number of foreign universities.

 


 

University of Ostrava

The VSB-Technical University of Ostrava has a long tradition in high quality education and research in engineering, IT, and economics related fields. Research and Development are integral to the activities at VSB-TUO. VSB focuses on applied research and close cooperation with industry. The Faculty of Safety Engineering provides background for safety and security engineering research. R&D, consulting services and education are carried out broadly in the areas of: Occupational and process safety, Major accident prevention, Risk research and management, Protection of critical infrastructure, Environmental safety and security, Safety of nanomaterials and nanotechnologies, Protection of population in natural disasters, resilience, Safety and security services, Fire protection, and Safety and security planning. The Occupational Safety Research Institute (VUBP) is a public research institution established by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic.
 


 

University of Belgrade

FME UB has long tradition and its activities cover all aspects of mechanical engineering, including risk engineering and management. UB is ranked among top 300 universities in the world. Since FME UB foundation in 1948 about 25000 students have gained BSc, MSc or PhD degree. It performs teaching, educational and research activities aimed at improving science and collaboration with industry and other organizations to solve both basic and applied scientific problems and promote innovation and the transfer of knowledge and technology to society to benefit from new models, products, processes and services.
